This month we were
treated to Quantum Conundrum and Sleeping Dogs as our free
Playstation Plus games (on the PS3). I'd wanted to try Quantum
Conundrum for a while, but haven't really been able to throw down the
cash for it. So I downloaded it and ended up playing it for two hours
straight. The first thing I noticed was John de Lancie doing the
voice of Professor Fitz Quadwrangle. Well anyway, it's very
reminiscent of Portal with a sort of Team Fortress 2 feel to it. I
love the mechanics and the feel is very cool. Not to mention having Q
guide me through his house of awesome is just an amazing experience.
I haven't played
Sleeping Dogs yet, but I'm sure I'll get to it soon. I have
been playing shit loads of Skyrim since the Dragonborn DLC came out.
Oh man, it's nice to be back in Morrowind. I am really enjoying the
DLC and finished the main quest. There are still a lot of quests left
and a lot of space left to explore. Easily the best DLC yet. I've
also been playing The Secret World a good portion. Everquest II sort
of fell to the side again, as it usually does. It's a great game in
small doses, but more than two or three months at a time and it goes
bleh. The Walking Dead is a great game so far. Alan Wake is all
right, but the mouse controls are fucked up and way too fast even on
a low setting.
I
really can't wait until Vergil's Downfall comes out. FFS come on.
I downloaded "Sleeping Dogs" and it's fine in that GTA clone kind of way. Tries to skip into beat 'em up tendencies at times, but mercifully not too much. Storyline is clichéd beyond words, but plenty of fun to be had.
ReplyDeleteI was doubly glad it was on PS+ as I'd been musing on coughing up for a second hand copy of it just days before. Result!
Yea I was looking around for it and was glad to see it pop up on ps+ as well. I ended up liking it better than GTA actually.
