Beginning of another year

There are a lot of new games coming out this year and I'm looking forward to quite a few of them. The soonest one is DmC: Devil May Cry; the reboot of this amazing franchise. A lot of people have been giving this game shit, but I'm really excited about it. I'm not only a fan of the Devil May Cry games, but also the anime and I made/moderate the Devil May Cry subreddit at ( www.reddit.com/r/DevilMayCry ). The demo for DmC: Devil May Cry was not without it's flaws, but it was also fucking incredible and felt really great to play. I'm super chuffed for this game.

I've been playing a lot of Everquest 2 again recently. Now that it's not crashing on me constantly at least. I've been playing my bruiser, Sszchera, mostly as she's such a great character to play although I don't much like this thing they're doing with making a bruiser be such a sought after tank. I guess I don't mind off-tanking too much, but I made a bruiser to be DPS and she does DPS and I play her as DPS. I would rather not tank. With this new expansion that had come out, they raised tradeskill levels (and I guess adventure levels too) so now I am almost 95 in Alchemy... fun stuff. Also going through the back to the past chrono missions which I never did before... I don't really know why. They are pretty fun so far and with Heartily (my merc warden) we can tackle almost anything... Niyaz instance I did not attempt to tackle just yet. I'll get it on the next time around I feel.

The best past mission I've done so far has been the Obelisk of Blight. I didn't do much in the Shadow Odyssey (but am working on the mission now) so I never saw this place, but I spent shit loads of time in the Obelisk of Lost Souls so I was very happy to see this place. I got the mission to kill the Interrogator at the beginning, but instead of just leaving, I finished the whole instance. It's so nice in there and reminds me a lot of the lower levels of the OoLS. I'm pretty happy I stayed to finish it. I could've done it without Heartily, but I didn't know what to expect so I took her along just in case.
Another awesome thing I did was killing Vox for the first time in a long time; at least as long as they've had achievements in the game. I did this with Maltheas (Templar), Bildi (Troubadour), and Heartily (Warden). This also netted The Green Lodge ( my guild ) our first guild hall trophy... which looks pretty fucking sweet. It never occurred to me that there were trophies like this so now I am going to search more out for the guild hall. Other than that, since I've been back I met Antonia Bayle (self righteous cow), met Kyle Bayle (dead self righteous ass hole) and met Einherji's brother Sir Bayden Cauldthorn during a super secret gathering at Antonia's room. I left before things got kinky.

Besides Everquest 2,  I've been playing Silent Hill 2 HD and it's been great. I hadn't had the chance to beat the HD collection (Silent Hill 2 & 3) yet so this's great. I often forget how fucking creepy these games are and now in HD with enhanced graphics and audio... by the nine it's terror. Silent Hill is the only series that manages to fucking creep me the fuck out every time. Even if I know what's coming. I love this series so much.

Also been working on Virtue's Last Reward and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. Another thing I started this morning was Batman: Arkham City due to it being free on PSN+. Now I did try Arkham Asylum and I didn't like it at all, but I gotta say... Arkham City is not bad. The cameras are a little wonky and I don't much like the glide controls, but it's not shit! Which is saying a lot coming from me.

There are several games I'm going to do reviews for so expect to see those coming up. I got a lot of shit for not doing reviews recently... apparently people like them :) I guess that's cool.

    1. Yea I'm glad people are using it too. Not a lot of people there yet, only almost 200, but it's getting there. One or two people have confronted me thinking that I work for some kind of promotional company for DmC, which is hilarious. As long as people use and enjoy the subreddit for DMC stuff only, then it's all good.
