There isn't a load to say about Forsaken World that I didn't go through in the video, but here's a little bit of a run down. First off though, I know I keep saying Korean when what I mean to say is Asian Games in general. I don't mean to be racist at all, though it's more that the style of art I relate to Korean design so I see it and automatically think Korean. Call it what you will, but that's the actual explanation as to why I keep saying Korean and not Asian.
The questing system is the only real 'gah' in learning to play this game. I was informed this was most likely because they expect really only the people who played their other games to play this and therefore didn't put in info on how to use the questing auto-route. I don't know how much truth is in that, but the game improved 100% when I learned about auto-routing.
I really love the graphics, more so than I love Everquest 2 or World of Warcraft. This style of art is my favourite kind for games. The feel of it is very Lineage 2 / Aion, which is a good feeling for me. I've stated before why I stopped playing both those games and it's a sad thing that it still happens. Sometimes I will go back into Lineage 2 to see if they are still swamped with botters and farmers and they are. The overall graphics, not only of the characters, but of the scenery and of the buildings is fantastic. There's an amazing amount of detail and love given to the graphics for something you don't have to pay for. The audio is also nice, but it's repeated so much that you get irritated of it quickly. I heard it all once and it was OK, but I didn't download it and I don't see myself listening to it again.
The RMT in the game I don't think I spoke of. As far as I can tell, it's nothing really to dire in it... fashion, pets, all that stuff. I haven't checked too deeply into their RMT stuff as I don't really have a reason to yet. Some of the fashion stuff like outfits or props, do look a bit cool. If I'm ever given free zen leafs or whatever, then I could see myself grabbing a few, but so far it's nothing that would grab my own wallet to purchase.
Something I touched on in the opening are the stylized Nazi outfits that Asian games seem to give their vampires and military type factions not only in games, but in animes and comics/manga. I basically was trying to say that the outfits were cool, not the Nazis, which is how it MIGHT have sounded when I re-watched the video. It's OK to like the outfit of someone you hate. At least I think so... nothing wrong with that. And they are usually fantastical so that's all right too. I don't have more to say that isn't in the video, so have a good time watching the Kindred starting area. The other starting areas are cool too and if people as I might do videos for them as well. Good luck in Forsaken World!
