I had a thought the other day that I would go through the entirety of the main series of Final Fantasy in order. This includes Final Fantasy 1-10 & 12-13. I exclude 11 because it is an MMORPG which I haven't played in ages & cannot bring myself to re-sub to if it were to save my life from fiends. I will also exclude X-2 as it is not a main part of the series, but rather a sequel/spin off of the main series. Other exclusions include the Chocobo Tales, Dissidia, Dirge of Cerberus, Crystal Chronicles & the like.
I will tackle the spin off's & continuations in another epic journey. For now it is just the main series. When I get to Final Fantasy XIII, however, since I only recently beat the game, I will not start it from the beginning; that would only be agony for myself. I will instead finish the Crystarium & then beat the final boss with 5 stars.
A few days ago I stated my intentions of this quest & started on Final Fantasy I on the PsP. Today I finished it with 17 hours 47 minutes, all characters to level 58 (pretty over level I know, but I went through some of the optional Shrines before I beat the game). I took the basic team of a Fighter, Thief, Black Mage & White Mage through it for convenience. Today I will start on Final Fantasy II, also on the PsP.
You should talk about each game in a post as you complete it. A little blurb about the battle system, fav characters etc that sort of thing.
