As most who probably read this are aware of, games are not my only source of stability. I do, of course, refer to anime. Yes, go ahead & say it; this isn't a dirty word. I have an extensive anime collection & I love it indeed. I don't see why it gets such a bad wrap, to be honest. It takes way more effort to draw an anime series than to make a live action series. Well anyway. In the vein of listing that has been going on in my recent posts, here are my top ten favourite animes at the current time.
10. Naruto:
I don't care, Naruto is awesome & I've been watching it for years. I haven't seen any Shippuden yet as it's not out here... grrr, but the original run of the series I have on dvd & really enjoy watching it through, even still! The story is catchy & the voice acting is well good.

09. Bleach:
Another great & long running anime here w/ fantastic art & characters. I watched this anime for quite a bit, but when the first Filler Arc came into it I got so irritated that I stopped watching it. I hate filler, but recently I watched all the episodes up to the current & I am enjoying it again.

08. Trinity Blood:
Although quite, quite similar to Hellsing, the characters & storyline are different enough that it gives it its own life & makes it wholly entertaining. I really love the art in this one, above all else. Though the story is great & the music is above par to be sure, the art is just exceptional.

07. Devil May Cry:
This series wasn't very long which is a shame because it was very awesome & Dante is always very cool. Generally animes that come from games sort of annoy me because they deviate the characters from how the games have established them, but in this case it keeps the characters a lot like they are portrayed in the game & even draws on some of the more obscure manga references.

06. Texhnolyze:
One of the weirdest animes I've ever seen, but also the story is very in depth & the art is so well done. The first episode is almost completely devoid of any communication outside of the occasional growl, but if you can get past that then you're in for a really in depth anime.

05. Code Geass:
If I start talking about it here, I'll go on for pages, so just go watch it.

04. Hellsing:
This includes both the original & Ultimate. I loved the original & for a long time it was my favourite anime. I also am really liking Hellsing Ultimate now as it's still releasing new episodes. I have to group them together as in each own way, they are equally epic.

03. Serial Experiments Lain:
I first watched this in a dark room at a friends house & it really freaked me out... the sensation still prevails when I watch it. How I love this anime! It never gets old, it always stays fresh.

02. Death Note:
I put off watching this for a long time because it was so 'popular' I thought it's just trash, but god-damn when I finally did watch it, wow. I was so impressed I watched the series right through, then I turned it on English & watched it right through again. The next week I watched it again. The story, the animation, the voice acting for both languages... incredible.

01. Ergo Proxy:
Since I first watched this anime, it claimed first place in my heart. I connected with it right away & as the series progressed, I just felt more & more at home with the world & characters. Everything about this series is fabulous. The music, the art, the voices, the story... it's so beautiful.
